Experience the woes of corporate climbling set to music - "2-Step Ladder" is a low-altitude frustration
composition sung by longtime Eric "The" Taylor collaborator, Matthew D. Guarnere. This one-night-only live performance prominently features Taylor doing some serious sonic sidestepping on a Prophet 5
synthesizer and jazz great, Paul Smoker gets totally out of line with his laterally static trumpet!
Watch it now!!

-Michelle Picardo of
FreeTime Magazine says:

" A true work of art, the piece is an upright piano, suspended from
the ceiling of the club, and boasts a high gloss silver finish and a
set of angel wings that make it 19 feet long from wing tip to wing tip!
Having caught a glimpse of the work myself, I was first struck by its originality,
and next by the heavenly cool impression it left."

Take a look at it yourself at the reception that will include musical performances by:

"...so i've added a shot of me playing tuba(!) taken recently on a recording session
with Rochester's Eric Taylor. Photo is by Steve Czubara, and I didn't have to make that face
while playing, but it had been... many years since I'd picked up my old tuba."

If you live in the area, you've probably seen Eric "the" Taylor's artwork.

Perhaps you checked out
The Piano Garden: Possible Musics Through Environmental Decomposition
,
once located at Atlantic and University avenues.

"I left a piano out to basically rot in the four seasons,"
says the 34-year-old Penfield resident, who lives on a small spread he calls "the ArtFarm."

If you missed The Piano Garden, Taylor's exhibit
"The Lakeside Swamp" is on display in the grassy area behind ArtisanWorks, 565 Blossom Road.

The artist, who has been dating girlfriend Von Murphy, 36,
for four years, also is a musician. So if art isn't your thing, go to the free downloads page at:

What are you listening to now?

Everything Is Funny But We Never Laugh by Inward Becomes An Anthem.
This is a CD by (band members) Figure and Gregory Paul, among others.
It is yet to be released. I have been invited to work on it, so I constantly listen to
it to work out my parts. My record player has the Foreigner 4 record on it. I love vinyl!

Top 5 CDs ever?

This list changes yearly, but ...

Reach the Beach by The Fixx
Earthling
by David Bowie
Any
and all U2 CDs
Tripping Over God
by David Torn
Apollo: Atmospheres and Soundtracks
by Brian Eno

What's the best show on TV?

TV sucks. We watch DVDs most often.

What's the last movie you saw?

Curious George with Von's kiddies. Pretty silly.
I didn't know George was such a good painter.

Top 5 movies ever?

Serenity
Primer
Forbidden Planet
Mirror Mask
Star Wars
